PODIUM is the trend brand of the year!

The PODIUM festival was awarded the "Trend Brand of the Year 2011" at the cultural awards gala in Berlin last Thursday! The jury awards this honour to the best cultural marketing activities each year.

The jury of the "Causales" agency distinguishes cultural institutions which are extraordinary from others in the sense of their innovation in cultural marketing, creativiy in their brand staging, as well as their visionary potential.

On October 27th, Steven Walter, artistic director, and Minh Schumacher, administrative director of the PODIUM festival, were receiving the "Trend Brand of the Year" award as representatives for the whole festival team.

Euologies were given by Pedro Muñoz, director of the Corporate Communications at "Deutsche Post DHL" (German Post), who emphasized the extraordinary radicalism of the PODIUM team in their extremely professional relinquishing of conventional concert and communication forms without changing or popularizing the music. Muñoz characterizes the festival as "classic that rocks without being rock'n'roll", a reason why the highly dynamic PODIUM festival can also attract young people and bring them closer to the great varity and rich treasures of classical music. 

The jury chose the PODIUM festival from out of 107 applications!

Steven Walter, artistic director of the festival, was also nominated in the category "cultural manager of the year". The prize was awarded to Jürger Bachmann, cultural consultat of AUDI AG.
