Dramm, Diamanda_pic1

Diamanda La Berge Dramm (1991) grew up in Amsterdam, the Netherlands playing the violin since the age of four. Growing up among the leading figures of the Dutch classical, avant-garde and improvisation scene, her own concerts reflect all of these elements. She has worked extensively with luminaries such as Christian Wolff, Alvin Lucier, George Benjamin, Garth Knox, John Cale, and Gunther Schuller. Diamanda is co-founder of the innovative musician-collective space Splendor Amsterdam. Als a soloist she played with the Metropole Orchestra, among others. Diamanda studied in Boston at New England Conservatory, where she received the John Cage Award upon graduation in 2013. She returned to the Netherlands to study with Vera Beths at the Royal Conservatory in the Hague. In May 2015 Diamanda completed her Masters, receiving the Nicolai Prize for most extraordinary end exam, and also winning the Kersjes Violin Prize that year. She has been selected for the Dutch Classical Talent Tour and Award for season 2017/2018.
